Electronic copies of records are free of charge. Any physical copies must be picked up in person. The first 10 pages of any physical request are free. After 10 pages, each additional page is 10 cents each and must be obtained in person. All physical records request will require an appointment with the Records Section to be picked up. Cash or money order only.

Public Records Requests
The Lucas County Sheriff’s Office provides access to public records in accordance with Ohio Revised Code §149.43. Public records requests may be submitted during regular business hours and are subject to the procedures and fees outlined below.
Written Records
- Electronic copies of written public records are provided at no cost, when available.
- Paper copies of public records are available by in-person pickup only.
- The first ten (10) pages of any paper records request are provided free of charge.
- After the first ten pages, additional copies are provided at a cost of $0.10 per page, representing the actual cost of duplication.
- All paper records pickups require a scheduled appointment with the Records Section.
- Payment for paper copies must be made in cash or by money order only.
Audio and Video Records
(Dash Camera and Body-Worn Camera Footage)**
- Requests for dash camera and/or body-worn camera recordings are processed in accordance with Ohio law, including House Bill 315.
- Fees are assessed at a rate of $75 per hour of video produced, representing the actual cost of reviewing, redacting, and producing the recording.
- A written cost estimate will be provided to the requester prior to production.
- Production will begin only after payment is received.
- All recordings will be reviewed and redacted as required by law prior to release.
- Completed video recordings will be delivered electronically, when feasible.
