Any professional visitor wishing to enter the secured part of the Lucas County Corrections Center must pass a criminal background check. In order to complete a background check, a waiver and PREA form must be completed in their entirety and a copy of a valid ID must also be submitted. All clergy members must also submit a copy of their Certificate of Ordination and Certificate to Solemnize Marriages. Background checks can take 24-48 hours to complete and will only be conducted Monday – Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. All waivers, PREA forms and IDs should be submitted to LCSOResourceCenter@co.lucas.oh.us or delivered in person to the Correctional Facility (either at Main Control or the General Office). Please be diligent as failure to complete the waiver in its entirety will result in background check not being processed.
