Lucas County Sheriff’s Office Court Services

The Court Services Bureau is an administrative component of the Sheriff’s Office, The Court Services Bureau reports directly to the major overseeing the Law Enforcement Division. This bureau is commanded by one captain and four sergeants who supervise deputy sheriffs assigned to the Lucas County Common Pleas Court, Toledo Municipal Court, Court of Appeals, Juvenile Justice Center, Domestic Relations Court and Transportation as well as clerks working in the Civil Division. The principal duty of a non-command deputy assigned to Court Services is to transport prisoners from the jail and other specified facilities in a secure, judicious and safe manner.
